81 - BY8 Front llicense plate???

I am reaserching a few options on the 81 Corvette. One of which is the BY8 front license plate option. The JM states that this is a "Front Decorative Plate" . The 81 AIM calls it a "License Plate Ornament". Does anyone remember this option??? Eric #3,182

Eric, I thought I had everything on my 81 but not the front plate ornament. There is a stainless plate frame that were shipped with many 60s-70s Corvettes, two per car. I wouldn't call them "options", more like standard equipment.It is in the AIM under exterior ornamentation.

Bob, thanks for the feedback. The Aim states that BY8 is not standard equipment. The reference is on Page 45 UPC Oe Sheet 1 in the MIDAmerica version of the AIM.
