    New C2 Registry now available

Please now after the success of the C1 Registry we decided to use the same software to start a C2 Registry as well. We think this registry offers the community far more inside on the contents of the registered cars than current registries offer.

Please visit the site at http://www.c2registry.org and if you like what you see feel free to register your car as well. We garantee your information will NEVER be used commercially by ourselfs and will NOT handout your information for any commercial usage.

    greetings,
    Rob Musquetier and Michael Westerberg

WHY ARE SOME MEMBERS RELUCTANT TO GIVE THEIR NAMES OR LOCATIONS?? AM I MISSING SOMETHING? I'D LIKE TO REGISTER, BUT WONDER WHY THE HESITATION BY SOME MEMBERS.

I registered my car yesterday and found it a little difficult to figure out how to list your name. Maybe I'm not the only one having that problem.

Frank, could it be they're afraid of some criminals tracing the location of a nice C2 Vette? Too bad, but that's the world we live in. Great, eh?

          I registered mine yesterday.

It is a bit unusual that you have to register your car then click another link to input your personal information (name, address, etc.). Maybe it's not evident to those that register their vehicles.

I suppose there is a possibility that if a thief knew your address it could be an invitation to break in to your home. Still, a City and State would be nice to see.

It don't matter to me. My '63 is currently at the paint shop being repainted in a little town in Nebraska with a mean police chief. :-) Eventually it will be home.

Another possible reason that several cars are listed without owner info is that the car is no longer owned by the person submitting the info. I will be adding several cars to the list but without owner info as I no longer own the cars and have no idea where they are today.

            Great site Rob! Thanks....

As mentioned earlier, in some cases you can't! It won't let you. I became a member, registered my car, and I can't get my info to show (I want it to). I have sent them an email asking how to correct this.

                Figured it out...

I just went back to the listing, and when I log in, I now have a new button to Add Owner. Went through this and my info now shows up. Odd having an extra step, but that's the fix.

                      Pete,

This has been sorted out now, please retry. I've been serousy ill for a week so I'm a bit behind schedule on the correspondence.

                        Bob,

After adding your car press the Add Owner button to add one or more owners to the car (e.g. current and some [previous owners).

                        greetings,
                        Rob.

Re: New C2 Registry now available

The reason why the owner(s) (and pictures) are to be entered seperately is that a car could have had more than one owner. So not only the current owner can be added but also a number of previous owners (see also the help page on the site).

                          greetings,
                          Rob.
