    C2 Horns

Hi, I have a 64 corvette and am looking for a correct set of horns for it. Does anyone know where I may find a set? I have seen a couple in Driveline but by the time I call they are already sold. Any help is appreciated. I just got the car last September, first vette ever and took it to Bloomington. It received a bronze award so I am trying to get what was wrong with it corrected. Thanks again for any help. Henry #43807

    Henry,

    I can recommend these guys.

    The Horn Works
    967 Hackett Street
    Beloit, WI 53511
    608 361 0095

They restored a set of '65 horns for $180 including S&H. They look and sound great.

Thanks Mark. I did check with them about a month ago and at that time they didn't have a set in with a close date. I will try them again. Take care, Henry

Might try Ron Goralski at 410-987-1948. He restores horns and has dated ones for sale. Nice guy and reasonable.

          Dave -

I understand Ron has "retired" recently from the horn restoration business.

John, It's funny you mentioned that he retired. I had saved his number from a post from a few months back and happened to call him tonight and we talked about restoring my horns and he is in business as of 7:00PM tonight. He said he might take a month or so to do them because of the holidays, $75.00 per horn.

Thanks - glad to know I got bum information - Ron does great work at reasonable prices (did two for me last year).

                  John,
I failed to ask Ron what he used to paint them with, gloss or semi-gloss. A thread a few above this one about The Horn Works, shows what I believe is a gloss finish and I know they are suppose to be semi-gloss. I am trying to get an solid answer and without calling both vendors. What did Ron use on yours?

Definitely semi-gloss - not shiny full gloss.

Rick, While searching for some horns I came across a site that Ron was at giving a seminar. The site is: https://www.ncrs.org/masondixon/pictures/horns.html

It should give you the information you need.

                        Henry,
Thanks for the link. It confirms my thoughts about using Ron.
                        Regards,
