    Oil plug gasket part number?

Does anyone have the ACDelco part number for the oil plug gasket on a 1967 327/350 engine?
    Thanks, Scott#32911

That depends upon what you want. If you want a "correct", original white nylon gasket, it's GM-discontinued. However, you can find these in the "Help!", carded products section of your automotive supply store.

If you want the current GM gasket, which is a high-tech tin/elastomer seal, then the part you want is GM #14090908. This one also seals a lot better than the original nylon type. However, it's still not the "perfect gasket". GM hasn't been able to come up with that in all these years of trying. I don't know why.

the best one i have found is the type that is medal washer with a "O" ring fixed in the center hole. the metal part keeps you from overtighening the pan plug and the "O" ring does the sealing.

That's, basically, the configuration of the GM #14090908. The elastomer section in the center on these is a tan color. I've not found them to be 100% leakproof, though.

The drain plug on the 3800 SC engine in my Grand Prix has some sort of integral elastomer seal. It does not leak a drop. I don't know if it's a metric size, or not. I'll have to check it the next time I have it out.

3800 pan plugs have a metric thread. GM sells a replacement plug with a magnet and but i do not have the part# here. i bought several and changed to them on the first oil changes on my vettes and impalas. i should write that stuff down as the old brain is not as good as it once was. back quite a few years ago i knew the part # of every major part in the BBC
