I have a red 67 roadster with white interior. On the interior, the edge of the body panel, as it is visible between the door panel and the inner rear quarter trim, was painted white many years ago. This is the edge that the quarter trim slide under. I do not know if this white is correct. Most roadsters I have checked are painted exterior body color, but then most seem to have matching interior colors so the contrast would not have mattered.
I am having some paint work done and if this white is incorrect, I would like to have this edge returned to rally red. If correct, it needs repainted to a brighter white. Did the factory paint this edge to match the interior trim color or not? Does anyone know?
Thanks
