Authenticating Stamp pads/trim tags

Some time back, there was a thread that briefly mentioned some different magnification tools to help authenticate stamp pads, trim tags, etc...
The Broachbuster scope (broachbuster.com) was mentioned along with a couple other websites. Any comments/opinions on the best tools to authenticate stamp pads and trim tags for the money would be appreciated. Regarding the Broachbuster, their website indicates there is some type of a discount deal for NCRS members --- can anyone tell me what that is?

Todd, I believe it is about a $10 discount if you click on the NCRS logo on the website.
