    Astro Ventilation doors

There is a question regarding whther the astro ventilation doors under the rear deck vents were permanently sealed on cars equiped with A/C. I have been told that they were, but someone suggested that ALL Corvettes with Astro Ventilation had functioning doors irregardless if they were A/V eqiped or not.
Can someone please enlighten me or direct me to some definitive literature so I can put this to rest?
    Thanks

    Kurt-----

The doors were closed and non-functional for C-60-equipped C3s.

      tsk, tsk, tsk

      Kurt,

If your keyboard and mouse has wandered to some other mis-information centers, we are going to hide your key board and mouse pad. By now, you should know that there is only one venue based upon the collective experiences of actual Corvette owners. The others are "I think so", "In my humble opinion" and "If I had a Corvette, it would probably be so".

PS Re-read that mouse pad warranty

        Geoffrey,
Perhaps a modification is in order to future mousepads: one that will not allow the mouse to stray from the NCRS board.
Actually, someone on another forum suggested that ALL cars that had Astro Ventilation stenciled on the door windows, had functional vacuum operated doors beneath the vents on the rear deck. However, me being a loyal member of the NCRS forum told him that cars equipped with A/C had NON functioning air doors under the vent, as Joe Lucia confirmed. It's easy to see how misinformation can be spread because this poor chap thought that he was correct. (Must not be an NCRS member)
