    '67 Rear Deck Lid Holes

What is the correct configuration for the read deck lid if a hardtop is not going to be used? My deck lid has two rather "worn out" holes for attaching a hardtop. If I don't plan on ever using one, is it appropriate to fill them in?

    Thanks,
    Scott

    Scott -

I'd just leave them there - they should have a bezel in the holes, and vendors have a stainless cap that snaps into the holes (although the correct configuration is to use the hardtop attaching bolts with rubber washers under the bolt heads to seal against the bezels). Over 25% of '67 production was ordered with an optional hardtop, and most of those tops are hanging in garages or stored in basements.

I like the look of a MidYear with the hard top on. But I own a Coupe.
