Re: 3814 holley
Thank you Joe, It just went off and had one of those hidden bidder things. I guess it is better than the 3810, I have on my K-19 car. There is also a July of 1966, 3814 on ebay, would that be better than the service relacement 2285? thank you for all your help Joe. Jerry F. do you have any comment on this?- Top

Re: 3814 holley
Dale,
I saw that 2285 on ebay and was going to let you know, but it needed an overhaul and it had something wrong with the fuel bowl. I'll look up that July 66 one and let you know.

Re: 3814 holley
Dale,
Looked up that 673. Looks good to me, but it will need a complete restoration job if you want show it, about $300 worth. A lot less just to rebuild. Looks like it has all the parts, maybe one screw missing in the vacuum secondary.
If it's within 6 months of your car it would be perfect. Anyway the original 3814's don't come up too often, not as often as the 3810's, so you might not care about the 6 month envelope.
I have dealt with the seller before, and I think he is a straight shooter. I have bought a number of holley parts from him. He is a rebuilder and can probably rebuild it for you.
The only difference between a 3810 and a 3814 is the throttle plate assembly (larger vacuum port) and the primary metering block. All the other parts are identical and interchangeable.
I'll keep an eye on it, and email you.
