I usually don't respond to requests for for an "old parts man" lest someone get the idea that I'm either "old" or a "parts man" or an "old parts man". However, I'll make an exception in this case.

GM #3990843 is the delay relay for 1971 applications with CEC.

GM #3990842 is the "other" relay (the reversing relay for 1971 with CEC)

Not too rare. They're not that hard to find.

Why, yes. I've been answering to that for quite a few years now. Not enough years to be considered "old", but quite a few years nonetheless.

I also go by "River City Joe", a monicker given to me almost 40 years ago by one George Lambton (R.I.P.) and of which I am most proud.

I actually think "Dipstick" is a term of endearment, unlike the religious homonym, DipShiite, that I have occasionally been accused of practicing.

I’m really not sure if they are putting us in wheelchairs, pulpits or the funny farm.
