I have two center console plates, 1 really old NOS that came in a GM box and another not quite as old, later NOS that came in a GM bag with the part number on it. The oldest of the two looks just like my original but unfortunetly has a small but noticable scratch in it. It has the exact same as original dull brushed finish whereas my newer NOS has a higher shine (semi-dull chrome) brushed finish but not the high chrome finish on the repros. Is this acceptable by judging standards?? Does anyone know why there is a quite noticable difference between my 2 NOS plates?

Re: 58-62 Center Console Plate
Justin; I have found about 4 variation's of this panel. I have a real old NOS that looks like the orginal, but maybe not 100%. A friend of mine has and old NOS that look's a little different than mine, then the last NOS one you could buy was very shiny one. At Bloomington this year I asked a judge that was judging a car that had a shiny one in it, if they nicked them for that type of panel. He told me they did. john- Top
