I was told that the installation instructions that come with Al Knoch headrest conversion kits will not result in the original, correct angle for the headrests and that the installation should be modified. I have noticed that some I have seen do angle forward more than others. Does anyone have any experience or more information regarding this?

Re: '66-'67 headrest conversion kit installation
This subject came up several months ago and I even copied it because I wanted to convert my 66 seats to headrests. I seem to remember comments about 66 and 67 angles being different and that the headrest position was more problematic for taller drivers. I will look for this post when I am in my garage this PM and post the reference if others haven't replied by then.

Re: '66-'67 headrest conversion kit installation
Bill,
Thanks, I'll look forward to your information. I'm aware of the differences between the actual foam from '66 to '67,(the assembly manuals show the same part# for the metal itself) but the recent info I got suggests that the actual mounting of the bracket to the seatback determines whether the proper, original angle will result.- Top
