Vent Window Assemblies

Should the vent window assemblies be positioned out flush with the windshield or are they set in a little. I have seen them all over the map and am wondering just what is the correct position. Thanks.

Design spec is for the vent window frame to be 1/8" inboard of the outer edge of the windshield side reveal molding; shown in the A.I.M. in UPC 1-Doors, Sheet K14, Section A-A.

I have mine set about the 1/8 in, but I wasn't sure what the correct position really was. It seems there is a lot of inconsistency in this area. Thanks again.
