    weatherstripping for C4

Can anyone recommend a supplier for QUALITY aftermarket weatherstripping? I also need to replace my targa top. Are there any high quality aftermarket replacements out there?
I bought an aftermarket weatherstrip kit and it was just too firm and stiff. Consequently cracked the glass in my targa top, and the side windows would not seal along the front edge because of the firm weatherstrip across the "A" pillar.

Kelly have not bought any C4 weatherstrip except new windlace weatherstrip for my 85 about 10 years ago. E-mail me who you bought your C4 weatherstrip from so I can avoid buying it in the future, I sure don't want to crack my glass top.

I'd also be interested in the dealers/product to avoid as well as those that provide a good product/service. I have a glass top that I need to have rebuilt/replaced and do not want to have it broken because of hard weatherstripping - not to mention if I wanted wind wistles through the cabin I'd get an MG TD or TF instead of my c4.

We re-did a 1988 convertible at the GM dealer where I worked until about 18 months ago. The rubber was from GM Canada and it fit.

I would recommend GM. Expensive? Yes.

Less expensive through a distributor such as The Last Detail, though. That's where I got some for Dad's 92.

Ralph your statement got a laugh from me about the MG. Have had a 79 Midget since 1986 with the wind through the cabin.

In the book "101 Projects for your C4" that I bought when I joined NCRS, there is info on changing weather stripping; it does say that when this is done, you may have to adjust the doors and windows. Please share with us who you bought this from, so we all can avoid buying from there.
