Any ideas on where I can find correct wiper blade inserts/refills for a 72 vette (besides ebay and besides swap meets)?

Correct original refills can frequently be found off-the-shelf from old stock at ma/pa auto parts stores. You're looking for a Trico 16-inch refill and service replacement blade kits (wiper rubber + blade assy) are still made/sold. The current version of the holder differs slightly from factory originals from the era of your car in that the upper bridge is wider for a longer spacing interval from the center hinge outward. Originals were 'fat' for a very short interval around the center hinge and 'necked' down rather quickly as they reached outward toward the blade tips.

The replacement version of the wiper blade will often physically interfere with the brass washer tubes attached to original Trico arms especially on the passenger side where the washer tube routes up/over the blade. Original blade holders had already 'necked down' to allow physical clearance for the washer tube...
