Thanks for all responses. This is where I got the low quality weatherstrip
http://www.weatherstripspecial.com/84-96.html (The mfg is METRO). They have willingly agreed to refund my money...haven't had time to ship this junk back to get my money back yet.

It's "rumored" that GM weatherstrip for the C4 is around $2500 (for all of the weatherstripping on the car)...haven't checked into it yet though...if it's true - OUCH!!
Since I haven't found anyone to recommend high quality aftermarket weather strip, I've decided to plunge into deeper waters on my own. There's a US company call Soffseal that's supposed to mfg high quality stuff...lifetime unconditional warranty... for about $950 - that's for the windshield header (A pillar), B pillar, targa sides, door mains, hatch glass, and door glass outer sweeps...everything I need. If this kit doesn't look right, I'm sending it back and heading for the Chevy house.
Still haven't sourced out any replacement top yet...guess I can wait awhile on it...just silicone the crack for now.

I'd still check out a distributor or discounter like The Last Detail or gmpartsdirect.com

Nothing, repeat NOTHING fits like GM weatherstrip. In this case you really do get what you pay for.

When I had to replace my C-4 windshield I used a dealer search to find a GM weatherstrip in stock at a dealership about 100 miles from me. If you have a good relationship with your local parts manager or counter guy at your Chevy Dealership, ask them to do a search for the part numbers you need. They are not inexpensive to buy from GM, but they do fit nicely.

I also had a problem with Metro weatherstripping.
I bought the door liners at about 1/2 the price of the good WS.
It did not fit well, and there were no plastic reinforcements at the ends.

I bought another set from Zip, and they were made well.
