    1108338 starter number help

I have an NOS 1108338 Delco Remy starter with a 1114362 solenoid on it. Starter is dated 0A14 for January 14, 1970. Is the solenoid number correct.? The judging guide describes it very well but gives no number.

    Dave-----

GM #1114362 was a PRODUCTION-only part number for a starter solenoid used during the period that you are referring to (i.e. 1970). The SERVICE equivalent of it is GM #1114356. I expect that the difference in part number was related to the fact that the SERVICE part included some hardware and the PRODUCTION part did not.
