Hello all, I will be adding power brakes to my 66 bb, dont want to spend outrageous money on booster and do understand there are a lot of providers for booster. Not important that booster be perfect as far as matching numbers. Look and functionality and price are concerns, Anyone had a good experience with a medium priced booster? thanks in advance, Tony

Tony,
Can't speak from experience regarding non-original boosters, but, there is a company that has been listing correct, but not original boosters for around $275 or so on Ebay. They appear physically the same as originals, except for some minor differences.- Top

Tony,
I was originally thinking of converting my '66 small block to power brakes, but it doesn't require much pedal pressure for stopping as it is. I suppose the extra weight of the big block might be different. There a couple of original p.b. master cylinder caps on Ebay.- Top

Unless you're doing it because you want a dual circuit brake system, I think you're wasting a lot of money and effort. You won't notice that much difference in the braking performance of the car with standard or power brakes. Certainly, not enough to justify going through the conversion.
Power steering is one thing; power brakes another. In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top
