Re: harm balancer application
Shows up in the '81 price book as a Chevy part, likely Truck. Those six-number parts can be lots newer than you think as GM started lookilg for unused numbers and had some strange short numbers in the early 70's while changing computers to work with 8 diget numbers.Bill Clupper #618- Top

Well, I'm not surprised that you can't find it in a 1929-53 P&A Catalog----this is a MUCH later part. I'm stumped, though, as far as finding an application for it. I can tell you this, though: it was a part number issued about 1974 and discontinued in 1985. I can find no supercessive part number and the 357012 was not supercessive to any other, earlier part number.
It is a Chevrolet-only part number and it's NOT Corvette. It's also not for any truck application that I can find. So, that pretty much means that it's for some about 1975 to about 1980 Chevrolet-only passenger car application. I don't think that it's for a small block or big block application, but I can't say that, for sure.In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top
