I have a new hood weather strip 6' long from paragon. Please look at photo & tell me how long it is supposed to be & is it glued in the back crevice? Thank you , Don

The weatherstrip is glued in place in the crevice. It should turn the corner and be about 3/4" beyond the holes in the hood. There is a "pin" that should be installed in the weatherstrip and into the holes to keep the ends in place.
Typically yellow 3M weatherstrip adhesive is used for installation. More than likely you need to trim the strip to length....- Top

If your hood is an original (it looks like it could be), as Steve mentioned,
look for the hole for the plastic push-pin on the outside edge of the inner hood. This should be forward of the hood pin an inch or two or more, position varied, then trim the strip about 1/4" forward of that hole.
Incidentally, the amber/honey colored adhesive was applied rather eradicly with a 1-1/2" brush.
