Cheater's question - the only Chevelle parts book I have (1965) does NOT call out the measurements - Base to Full and Base to add - as seems to be done in the psgr/Corvette PB. Chevelle uses a different oil pan to clear suspension - any 1964 Chevelle 300HP 327 people out there? Probably the same for 1965 Chevelle 300, but ......

Re: Oil Dipstick
Ony Chevelle cat I have, (77 date) lists '64 Chevelle all 8 cyl as P/N 3846562, with "A" dimension of 16 7/16 from cap the "full", 17 3/8 to "add". Also, only one '64 pan for 283 AND 327, 3830089, so at least the combination is consistant. Shows same pan for 64-67, but different dipsticks for '65-67 with different gauge lengths??Bill Clupper #618- Top
