Re: totaled C-6 ZO6
Mike I have allready met with 2 of the largest wrecking yards in our area,to tell them I am looking for a wrecked one for the drive train. He showed me a list of about 20 other people who came in before me looking for the same.
We have a local (within an hours drive) auto auction that the insurance companies, sell wrecks at along with the repoed cars from the banks, off lease cars, and dealer trade-ins, that a freind goes to every wensday he has his eyes open for one also.I am hoping to get one for a future C2 tube frame conversion project I would like to do- Top

Re: totaled C-6 ZO6
You guys may want to stop by some of the larger better quality autobody shops in your area and let the owners know what you are looking for. My brothers shop is one of the largest in our county. We see a lot of really high end cars here. I'm talking Bentley's, Ferrari's, Aston Martin's, Lotus, etc. I have seen two totaled C-6 ZO6's come thru the door. The insurance companies wanted the cars rebuilt but the owners didn't want the cars back. They could have been purchased from the owners for the difference in the agreed repair price and the book value of the cars, usually about 18-22% of the cars value as the salvage value runs around those numbers. Unfortunately for the owners but good news for my brother, the cars were repaired and then immediately sold and in one case traded in by there owners. We have bought more than one Ferrari 360 this way!
