    Dated hose clamps

I don't think I have ever seen dated hose clamps. I assume them to be mostly Witteks and Sure-Tites but where would the dates be on the clamps and how are they read? Year/month/day?

    Thanks,
    Scott

The stamps are very light and found on tower clamps used on smog and heater hoses. They are dated Quater then year. 1 70 First Quater 1970.

      inside the clamps

I have about 200 NOS Sure Tite worm screw clamps from about 1974 and the dates are on the inside of the band, so you can't see it anyway. They also appear to be Q/YY for quarter and year.

        Re: inside the clamps

I have some Wittek tower style heater hose clamps and they're dated on the outside of the band: 1/83. I always thought it was Jan 83, but I guess it would be 1st Q of 83.
