    Oil Tube Cap GASKET

    On my 65' 327 / 365, I have a GASKET in my oil tube filler cap that is approximately 1/8 inch thick, with a quarter size hole in the middle.

    Question.....
    What was the original thickness of this cork gasket ??
    Mostly just curious.....AIM does not specify.

      Hi Lane,
      I think the 1/8 is correct for the thicknest of the cork gasket but the known originals I have seen are solid in the center.

          The original gasket on my cap had a hole in the center.

                  Gents,
                  As another data point, the 1/8 inch thick, cork gasket that was used on my '65, 327/250 does not have a hole in the center.

                      all original cork seals i've seen were donut shaped. mike
