    73 Corvette Trim Tag ?

    I have been lead to believe the trim tag date code was one letter followed by two numbers. A '73 on ebay has the code 8L8. Is this car special or is the trim tag not original?

      This is car serial number 02479 (according to the ad) which was built in September 1972. I think the trim tag actually reads B18, which is September 18th.

              I believe you are correct.
              VIN's 2422 & 2527 have trim tag date codes of B18. So 2479 should be B18 also.
