        I have a 1967 L-88 sold new in California from Dana Chevrolet in South Gate. The car was not legally registerable in California The issue was not the AIR but was the absence of PCV. The road draft tube was non-compliant.

          Because of the lack of PCV '67 L-88s were not legally registerable for street use in ANY state, but maybe some were were actually street licensed since there was no real enforcement of federal or state emission laws back then.

          The '68 and '69 L-88s meet CA and 49-state emission and safety standards via AIR and no more C-48 heater delete option to comply with the windshield defroster FMVSS.
