what is the best dressing for freshly bead blasted ex manifolds - small block - what can i do to keep ncrs but prevent rusty look

Many prior posts on this issue in the archives... Basically, you'll find several recommendations for different cast iron 'appearing' coating systems with different folks liking this one/that one. Bottom line, IF judges detect you've applied a foreign coating to a part that originally as-cast 'natural' expect to lose 20% of the originality points on that item.

Most judges are pretty good at spotting artificially coated exhaust manifolds and keep in mind, on the judging field, your car will sit side-by-side with others of the same era to accentuate the difference in color/hue... But, folks often opt to give up the judging points willingly for the benefit of long term, rust free, appearance!
