I bought my original owner 1970 Corvette off the showroom floor at the Chevy/Buick dealership in Texas and paid cash for it. Was told to come back the next day to pick it up. Picked it up late in the afternoon and the engine blew about 4 miles down the highway on a hot August day in Texas. It has the turbo 400 and it was not being driven hard. The replacement block is stamped CEOA 47538. It is a 3970010 block dated D260. Took about 8-9 days to get my car back. The short block was not even painted by the dealership, still isn't.

Re: CEA engine code question
Yes I would like to. I would like to try without pulling the engine. I might try POR-15 engine enamel and brush it on. I Do you have any experience with it?- Top
