Re: Better Than A Spy Novel

I am not sure he would have to answer any question. The fact that he did answer the first one and let it show up was a big mistake on his part. Not answering your question via ebay email should tell you something about him.

Re: Better Than A Spy Novel

I sent him a comment/question 2 days ago and it was unanswered, and also filed an E Bay fraud complaint tonight. I've gotten a bunch of stuff removed from E Bay, usually involving Vin plates and titles for sale, and most recently a Hemi Cuda scam, but I doubt they'll remove this one based on an allegation by a third party without direct proof that they clearly understand of either an E Bay violation or something illegal.

        Questions often unanswered on eBay

There's nothing in eBay rules that requires a seller to respond to a question at all.

I think about 50% of my questions to sellers go unanswered. And many of the answers that I do get are gibberish. It's a rare seller who will address all questions from a bidder in a polite, precise, and timely response that is posted in his auction description.

As a frequent seller, I can also assure you that it's a relatively rare bidder who will ask questions in a polite and precise manner. Sellers and bidders on eBay form a fairly representative cross-section of American culture. It's not a pretty picture when you think of it that way.

          My personal take.

The seller is one of those amoral guys who won't ever admit any wrongdoing, regardless of the evidence presented. He's going to pull an "O.J." during his subsequent trial. Up until then he's going to do his best imitation of Willie Clinton.

I suggest you jump directly on his head with your own eBay auction. I doubt any of his auction bids are real, but I'd like to see him exposed as a jerk in public.

Re: Better Than A Spy Novel

Norris if we could get others with ebay accounts to file a complaint as to why they did't bid because of the false documents etc, maybe ebay would take notice. There is a special area for law enforcement to raise concerns about a listing and I am going to try to get one of the guys that know me and the situation to file with ebay today. You guys with ebay accounts can find the area to file a reason you didn't bid under Help, then click on Contact us, then check listing violations, then click on Continue, then Step 1 click on Fraudulet listings (not Ebay Motors but just under Ebay Motors) then step 2 "You suspect a listing is fradulent you didn't bid" step 3 click continue. The next page will come up click on EMAIL under Customer Support. The next page will come up and allow you to put the item number in, be sure to get it right 4599356175 and then type your concerns about the listing, like the car was built out of date range for L-88, You have contact with the selling dealer and the car was a small block car and Shrine Patrol parade car driven by the dealership owner. The buyers invoice or copy there of is a total fabrication etc. If enough complaints are filed ebay may be forced to pull the ad. I am still considering an ebay ad to counter act his although I have a good reputation on ebay and don't want to mess it up if I do something wrong so haven't yet decided on just how to do it. GL

photo of 1967 Shrine Corvettes at the plant

I have just found a copy of the photo that shows the 1967 Corvettes at plant delivery. The banner shows Nov 11 1966. The second car in line is the ebay car in question with my dad standing beside of it. I don't have a scanner so can't post it and it isn't in great shape but could maybe be cleaned up. I believe I sent the original of this photo to Bill Mock and I don't think he returned it, he may have but if so I can't find it. I would be willing to fax a copy to anybody that could email me back a copy that I may use in an ebay ad. Let me know. GL
