I am hoping to locate a body cradle to do a body off on my "66" Roadster. I live in Killbuck, Oh. so if someone has one to sell or loan please contact me.

Hoping everyone has a lot of Corvette Goodies for Christmas!!

Tom: If no one in your local Corvette club has one, you're looking at building your own. If you're a welder, you can do a really jazzy dolly with square tubing. Dream Car Garage has done some very slick ones on their show.
But if you're welding-challenged (like me), then it's easy to create a great dolly out of lumber. Noland Adams has plans for one in his body lift handbook.
My design is much simpler --just a basic rectange out of 2 x 12's with removable legs and casters at each corner. I built TWO sets of legs: tall ones for being able to get under the body, and a set of short legs for painting when you want the body much lower. Make diagonal braces out of metal EMT conduit and you'll be surprised how rigid it is. On the casters: do NOT get a set of 4 swivel casters. You want 2 to be fixed and 2 to swivel.
Since you're body is a roadster, you will want to connect the door hinge to the striker plate with a piece of angle iron. Otherwise you run the risk of the body cracking across the jack well.
