Re: CARPET 71
-------It was brought to my attention that Mid-America is moulding thier own carpets. Apparently, Mike felt they could do it better! Good for him. The one set I saw installed was a mid-year set and looked very nice. The difficult to do side-pieces in the rear were much better than any others that I have seen.........Bill S- Top

Re: CARPET 71
Mike,
Call each of the vendors (Knoch, MidAm, ACC) and ask for samples of your color. Then pick the one you like, or ask for adjustments as needed. It's not worth guessing on the shade.

Re: CARPET 71
Patrick,
--------What you are saying is, of course, important. More important than that, or at least as important is the moulding. All the good colored carpet in the world will still look bad if its moulded badly. Thats my problem with ACC........Bill S- Top

Re: CARPET 71
------No, Mike,,,I havent done a C3 in awhile now but feel that Mid-America is worth a try. ACC may have started by doing Vette carpet a long time ago, but now the bulk of thier income doesnt come from all us anal-retentive types. Used car lots and detail shops are thier biggest target and those kind of guys are very price concious. Therefore ACC seems to have taken a bunch of cost-cutting measures that make for a less desireable product as far as NCRS levels are concerned. These are my thoughts and my thoughts only, but many conversations with other restorers would seem to back me up!............Bill S- Top
