                    Jerry

The car was tapped on the drivers side..and parked in 1967. Yes it has been in storage ever since ( almost 40 years ). Odometer shows 15,000 miles and rev counter agrees.

The drivetrain was transplanted in 57 from this Eb Rose car. One of the former 57 Sebring cars sold to Eb Rose by Ed Cole.

Can you identify the guy on the left. He drove the #64 car for Eb at Cumberland. Behind it is the Bill Mitchell SR2..and behind that is the other Sebring car.

                      Yep!

Yes..George Moore / Eb Rose car!

The 54 was purchased new by George Moore at Star Chevrolet in Houston! George who was Eb's long time friend transplanted the Eb Rose Sebring car drivetrain...in late 1957 and it remains today..just as it was from 1957.

Mike..I would say late January about #1900 but that is just a guess! The engine is a January stamp F122EK with a late Nov/56 distributor. This is a SEDCO engine...so it could have been shipped to Atlanta and installed in an earlier produced car.Things were happening fast during this time frame with high performance parts and engines being sent directly to Smokey, to SEDCO, Rush Chevrolet in Gardena,Ca., Dick Doane, Fred Warner etc..Joe
