Re: part # help please
John------
The GM #3711826 is the Harris-manufactured upper A-arm bushing which was used in PRODUCTION for 1963-72 Corvettes. This is the bushing with the "exposed rubber" on the inner end. This feature is one of those "trendy" items which used to make these bushings command Big $$$$. Now, however, a perfect reproduction is available for about 10 or 15 bucks.
The GM #3711826 was once available in SERVICE, too. It was discontinued in January, 1973 and replaced by the 73+ PRODUCTION bushing, GM #401267. This bushing lackes the exposed inner rubber, but is 100% functional.
The GM #3711826 was also used for the passenger car applications that GL mentioned. In addition to the Chevrolet models, it was also used on equivalent Buick, Oldsmobile, and Pontiac models. In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top
