    350 main cap bolts/studs

Anyone find quality studs for a half way reasonable price?

I'm obviously going to be putting a windage tray where no windage tray has been before.

So far the best price I've found is $45.00

    Thanks,

    Chuck

I've always used the stock GM studs for a 350 with a windage tray, and never had a problem. It takes 5.

      Chuck-----

The GM studs are GM #14087508 and currently GM list for $11.15/each. From a discounting GM dealer you ought to be able to get these for about $8.50/each, so it should cost you about the price you've found for a set of 5. I don't think that you'll find a set of known-quality studs for much less than this.

Beyond that, though, what year engine, oil pan, and oil baffle are you proposing to install these with? Not all combinations will work.

I might add that you CANNOT use the GM studs with aftermarket, splayed 4bolt main caps. The caps are toooooooooooo tall for the GM studs!

I just checked gmpartsdirect.com and they have them priced at $6.35.

I like the ARP fasteners, they have a nice set of studs.

                Re: Thanks for the responses

I'll check out GM and hopefully my local speed shop when ever they open up.

                Thanks again,

                Chuck
