I need some touch up paint for my Tuxedo Black 64. Its been repainted with an acrylic enamel but that is all I know. Can someone tell me where to find the paint code for this colour and perhaps recommend a brand of paint.

Re: paint code
Gavin, Tux.Blk; DuPont# 88-L ; R-M # A-946 ; Ditzler# DDL9300. You should be able to use one of these color numbers to get your paint (whatever formula).- Top

Re: paint code
GM black acrylic lacquer appears to be the same from its first use (circa 1957) to the end of acrylic lacquer use by GM (circa 1987) Your Tuxedo black is the same mix as used on my black 1976 Cosworth Vega. The PPG DDL9300 is a "factory pack" product i.e. you buy it off the shelf. It does not have to be mixed by the paint store. Don't know if GM still has touch up "sticks" for your car, but auto parts stores usually carry of line of touch up sticks and if they have one for GM black from the late fifties to the eighties it's probably a match.
