I wanted a bubble top for this car..but could not find one at that time..and it was long before Roy stepped up and started making them..would have been really cool. I found the son of an original owner in St.Louis that went to Chicago..to have one of the original bubble tops installed on his 54 and I wrote about it in the Restorer way back when.

There was also a guy back in the late 50's or early 60's that made a prototype..double canopy bubble top..but as far as I know..it did not go beyond the initial prototype..I think he was in Tennessee.

There is still lots of really neat stuff out there. This week I was told about a collection of Corvette cars and parts that takes up 40 trailers. Not the Shlag collection..but another one.

Great looking Corvette,I talked to the guy you mentioned about five months ago and he still has that 54 and the green bubble top , said he would send me the original prints and photos when the company made them .
I came by my green bubble top from a guy in Sacramento Ca. That had a 54 he bought back in 68 needing body and engine work and we worked out a deal with me doing the work.
First time I ever saw one and you could hardly see through it, so my brother law the Glassman took a whole day sanding and buffing it. It came out near perfect.
If you ever get another one of those old beat up 54's Corvettes call me.
This one is one of my Clear ones ,would have looked good on that RED 54 the original green one I install now and then when we go some place.

Roy..Gan Gale had one..and Syd Diamond had one. I think Syd lived in New York. My guess is they are still out there sitting in someones garage!

This summer..I plan to fire up the Eb Rose/George Moore Black Widow Fuel Injected 54. It would be fun to pull into a diner with it and your 55.

George pulled a wooden launch behind it and made a custom hitch...to do so. I need to take a picture and send it to you as the hitch itself is really cool..and natural looking.

Sounds a little like Roy Braatz!

Roy..I have not heard from Noland for a while. Is he okay?

I haven't heard from Noland ether and don't know, A SACC member may. Here is that 57 sporting a bubble top. Wonder what happened to it?

Roy..that is the one I was referring to. I talked to the inventors wife..years ago..but the guy had passed away and she was not interested in talking any further about it.

Might be an item to post on Ebay..as a search!

Bill Wyland (sp?) had an original bubble top. Haven't hear from him in ages. Maybe he'll be at Kissimmee.
