PF 25 on Display at SC State Museum

Yes...visited there today to take in the Norman Rockwell museum and while there passed by the "auto" exhibit. It had a 79 Vega mega partially cut away to show piston and valve action.

But the highlight that caught my attention was the white,original PF 25 oil filter. Had some dirt on it but the rim was unpainted. No embossing on the bottem so I take it it is second generation.

No...I couldn't get to it. They had the display enclosed in a plastic case.

those have been showing up on Ebay in the 40-50 dollar price range.

Wouldn't the filter need to be blue to be period correct.

White PF 25s were production installations into 76. 1970 was (I believe) first year for white PF 25 without embossed script (Best way to protect...) on the bottom of the filter. 1977 was first year for blue canisters installed during production.
