Re: rear end chatter C-3
Wally, I had a kluncking noise when I let off or stepped on the gas. Here is what the guys from Richmond Gear told me. My car sit's a lot and the posi-clutches lose there lube between them. They told me to go to a lot and drive slowly in a tight cirle 10 times left and 10 times to the right. This causes the clutches to slip and grease gets between them. Guess what, no klunching.(until it sits again). Hope this helps dale- Top

Wally
My 65 had the same problem. My 71 aslo had this problem. I put 2 bottles of the additive in each rear and drove for about 150 or so miles and the chatter became less and less as I drove the cars. Most of the chatter was in reverse and turning as well as going forward and turning. I then drained/suctioned the fliud and replaced it with new GM fluid and 2 more bottles of additive. Haven't had the chatter since. It was a pain but it had to be done. hopfully the synthetic fluid didn't harm your clutch pack.. Hope this helps. good luck- Top
