    Corvettes and the Borg

Interesting thing just popped up on a newsgroup I watch. I can concur that the Borg are taking over. I see a lot of people with these cybernetic implants that prevent noticing anyone else.

Soon, all new Corvettes will come equipped with a mechanically operated hand on top of the dash that waves, allowing the use of one hand on the steering wheel and the other on the phone. The phone, GM part number 10596643, will have a button to remotely operate "the wave". Next year, the same basic option will also include a scanning divice that electronically detects oncomming Corvettes and will operate "the wave" automatically.

That could be an interesting option on the option. The new four way finger flicker for fords.

Newer Corvette owners never wave when I'm driving my 55 , they don't even know it's a Corvette.
I love pulling up to a newer 90 up Corvette and asks them with a blank face what make car are they driving, I could write a book as to the replies I get!

Martin Milner ...FU ...One Adam Twelve CYBORG

            Mark,

Are you related to Martin Milner? If not, then I'll tell you that our two heroes took turns giving "the wave" (or "the finger" as the case may be). George Maharis, being of Greek ancestry, usually had a "dirty" middle finger, though.

No relation. I did drive a '63 Corvette convertible long ago though.
