    C-3 heater fuse blown

Hi people, I've got a 75 and just recently I turned on my heater switch and blew the fuse, I replaced the fuse and it blew again. My car doesn't have a/c.

Also before the fuse blows I didn't hear the heater fan operate on low or medium, but when I moved the switch to high the fan motor operates and then the fuse blows.

If someone has any answers for why this would just happen please HELPPPPP.

    Thanks. Ken.

    Re: C-3 heater fuse blown

One test not to costly. Obtain a inline fuse holder and use appropiate guage of wire and make up a test wire that will reach from the power source of the horn relay to the terminal of the heater. Disconnect the electrical lead from the heater motor and connnect your test wire without the fuse in the fuse holder. When ready to test put the same rated fuse that is blowing in the fuse block and see if the heater motor runs okay. If the heater motor is running with this test, I would next replace the heater blower switch in the console. You can also test the wires that connect to the heater switch with your test wire.
