C2:67 Master Cylinder, would this pass

for original. Just got this today and wonder if this would pass for an original on a 67 with manual brakes.

Here's the top (and below):

Here is the right side with casting number 5455509 (right side up):

Here's the left side which has a D 5 upside down with some other casting marks between the bleeders:

Here's the front with DC stamped on the machined semi-circle:

Looks to meet the 67 JG, what would the judges think?

This is a brand new GM restoration part.

Pretty interesting, I just heard about these. Would need to do a side by side comparison but right from the start I see stainless steel bleeders and bales. Also the lettering on the cap is too thin. These items would cost a point or 2.

Interested to learn how you bought your GM restoration part. I'm in the St. Louis area, when I went to the local GM dealers, no one knew what I was talking about when I gave them a restoration part number I got off of the restoration web site.

I'm sure it would be a benefit to everyone using this forum to help us better understand how the GM restoration parts program works. Anything light you shed on the subject would be greatly appreciated.

If you put an original beside the restoration part, I think you could see a considerable difference. The configuration of the restoration part is not good. My guess is this part will receive a 50% deduction on originality.
