Do these trim rings and retainer clips look original ?
1967 Trim Rings - Original ???

Insufficient Information...
There are early and late era versions of correct/original trim rings with the difference lying in the orientation of the clips around the circumference. The change came along approximately 1978, if I remember correctly... Here's text from a Shark JG book:
"....Four clips hold the trim ring to the wheel rim, not gripper around the full circumference of the trim ring. Original equipment trim rings have a clip at or very near the the location of the valve stem hole. A later production run moved the clips so that the valve stem hole is almost centered between two clips...."
The eBay auction doesn't give a picture of the back side of the trim rings and the relationship between the valve stem hole and the clips. Therefore, you can't tell which version (early or late) you're bidding on!- Top

Re: 1967 Trim Rings - Original ???
Ron,
Jack's point is right on. If you look closely at the photo of the back, the clips do line up with the valve stem hole as the photo shows a clip 180 degrees opposite the hole. They look like the real thing to me. By the close up of the back you can see the perimeter was not altered by pinching the crimp to make the clips line up. That alteration is all to common and if done is very detectable.- Top
