    Heater motor 1963 (late)

What is the product of choice for coating the heater motor for a 1963?

    Thanks for any help!

    Re: Heater motor 1963 (late)

I'm not sure of a particular product, but it would have to be a very heavy-bodied "undercoating" type of thing. My original late '63 motor is downright caked with a heavy very uneven black coating that after all these years is still soft enough to pick with your fingernail.

I just checked, and the TIMJG says, "The blower motor is coated with a semi-gloss black undercoating-like material..."

      Thanks Pete

I remove the original coating from mine and it seemed like oil and dirt mixture that you would scrape off a very dirty engine block. I would like to re-coat it prior to installing the heater box back into the 63.

      Again Thanks
