as i recall, the 3 mil Olds was a 54. photos of the one at sebring in 57 are disimiliar. remember, "there's a rocket for every pocket". RIP Oldsmobile. mike

Thanks Mike. I saw the reruns on the BJ auction last weekend because I missed it last year. Didn't remember it being a '54. For that matter I don't remember hearing what it was.

Clem..after the 57 beach race..did you go over to New Smyrna? Any idea..where the Paul Goldsmith #3 57 FI Chevy ended up? He may have won that race if not for blowing a piston with 3 laps to go.

the refernces say 2nd to a 300 sl in the production race and 4th in the main race

Last time I was there was in 1997, when I leased the entire track (and all the support folks, medics, etc.) for three days for the Viper Owners' Invitational; also leased the Orlando SpeedWorld dragstrip for the same three days for the guys who preferred going in a straight line. Expen$ive week

There is no reason you can't. Most race tracks can be rented but now most want more money because they want to use their emergency staff and vehicles, mainly to cover themselves. Too many used to rent a track and not have any emergency crew.

I believe Roebling Road was around $3000 a few years back, but I don't know if that was a day or weekend.

30 friends, $100 each, have fun.

Of course, you need event insurance, etc.
