58-59 door weatherstrip

i have a very early 59 built 9-11-58 it has 58 style weatherstrip on the doors i believe. it has holes on the front and back by the curves for fasteners. my question is what kind of fasteners are they and how are they installed. the weatherstrip is solid so do they just go through the middle to hold it down plus adhesive. is anyone aware of any venders selling them.

Last time I looked Corvette Central carries the button you are looking for. They are black, metal with a flat top. I think Paragon Reproductions have them as well. Every once in a while some NOS show up on ebay in their blue and white bag.

Yes and no, it's best to see a jpeg. Someone here may assist. My car in on top of a lift covered, 100 foot away in my barn and it's 31 degrees out. My young Buck (2 points) is still eating so I don't want to spook him. It's kind of hard to explain this is words, you really gotta see it because as you know, there are no holes in the main door rubbers and the auxiliary rubbers ones only have a dimple at best.
