    Tank stickers and build sheets

This has probably been addressed several times but could any of you direct me to a source or sources that can resurrect original tank stickers that are almost illegible?

    Thanks,
    Scott

    Scott,

Have you checked between the steering column and the gauge cluster.I found a duplicate folded neatly out of sight. The duplicate was in near perfect condition.I also have my tank sticker wich is readable, but just barely.I was told to go ask my local library for a document restoration expert.I found my second copy before I got around to it.I figured between the 2 sheets in "unrestored condition"It would be much harder to call them forgeries later down the road.

I have had the same need several times now. I know that many years ago guys were using lighter fluid to remove the stickers. The smart move was to jsut cut the tank but many tried different methods. I posted the same queastions about a month ago and someone suggested infrared photography. I am trying to find a video recorder that can do this but they have been discontinued due to the fact that you can see through some fabrics.
I hope others can share some info. I have a sticker in my possession that was photographed in `91 and has signifcantly faded. I am sure that the technology must exist to apply something on these to bring up the ink.

        Scott:

I took my fragile '71 Corvette Order Copy sheet to a really good color copier, it enhanced the printing alot from my still readable but faded print original. In fact the copy looks damn near identical with every nuance and aged defect thats on the original.
