Terry, I believe they're out of a '70 and will be putting them in my '71. The magnets are marked 466950 10 ohms. If memory fails, which it often does, they quoted me $48 per speaker.
I purchased two brand new factory correct A C Delco speakers from a company called Corvette Specialties for a total of $80.42 which included shipping just 2 months ago. They came complete with the factory mounting bracket already attached and had the correct wiring and plug attached. They bolted right in within 60 seconds.
I purchased two 4 x 6, reconed original, 8 ohm speakers from Jackson Speaker Service in Michigan for $92.50. I connected with them based on a recommendation from an old time car radio repair guy. I didn't have any cores to send them, so I'm presuming that I purchased a pair that they had completed a reconning on from core's within their shop. If that was the case, they did a very good job, I'm very satisfied. For 30 year old reconditioned speakers, they sound better than I ever expected. I have them in a '74 coupe. I don't have a phone number for Jackson Speaker, but I do have an e-mail address, rjMcgee@voyager.net. Talk to Ron.
I can't do any better on the price with the guy I know. He charges about the same, $95.00 per pair. If you buy something else, make sure it is true 10 ohm speaker. Hard on your radio other wise. Terry
