Did all 1963 have the rear exhaust heat shields to protect the rear panel?

yes, to the best of my knowledge. mike PS think i got a repo set from long island years ago.

There is a recent thread on this, because I had a similar question. The diameter of the 63 bezel is smaller than the later models, and GM apparently thought some protection was needed.

I looked in the archives and the only thread that I had found provided information that some late 63 did not have the heat shields. I have taken Mikes advise and ordered a set from Paragon.
