Jerry,

The original 3749810 strap had a slotted pan head screw but some time in the late 60's or early 70's, the screw changed to the slotted hex head. Also, the original strap looked different than the later edition. Originally, there were dark lines running the length of the strap and later they were either cad plated or galvanized. This part was available for many years and almost all that you find today will be the later design hex head.
