I have got points deducted for the heat seam being to wide on my 59 sun visors. How should it be and can it be corrected. Thanks Jimmy

Re: C1 Sun visor
Tony--
I'm confused by your post--no screws and washers holding the visor to the mounting pins? What keeps them from flopping down? The screws and washers were integral to the design that began on the 58's, unless I am somehow misreading your post. Each mounting area had a chromed finish washer on each side, with a unique threaded pin and unique "nut" on the opposite side. (four washers, 2 pins, 2 "nuts" per visor).- Top

Re: C1 Sun visor
Tony,
I went to Seminary at Concordia in Clayton, so I know Barford very well. In 71 we had our 64 SS Impala Convertible stolen, and we tried to buy a new Chevelle at Barford.
I mis-typed before--should have said 59-62, not 58-62--58's didn't have sunshades. I'm not a student of 59's--my bailiwick is 61-62, and my 59 AIM is loaned out at the moment, but I know the judging manual spells out the need for the washers and screws for all so-equipped 59's and 60's. I had an early Decemb er 59 with black sunshades, and they were as per AIM and judging manual.
Good question on your car--you've obviously had it for a long time!- Top
